Reaching the highest peak

Krista is a spontaneous girl who loves to run and climb mountains. She suggested that the Monday holiday of Labor day that people should hike Mt. Nebo. Mackenzie and I really wanted to go but we knew that we had too much homework that day and would be slowest people of the group. So we were talking the night before that maybe is Mack and  I (Kat) went a couple hours before we could meet them at the top... Somehow the conversation turn to "how about we go right now?" I am not exactly sure how that happened but it did. Mack and I told a select people where we were going. Kim (basically a roommate) gave us a directions and advice and promise not to let Krista know.

We set out and grabbed a boy (Tayte) for safety. We started the hike right after midnight. Mack got scared by the many cows around us... it was entertaining to watch because she thought they were monsters or wolves. Well we "slept" on top of a ridge so we could see the morning rays but also be protected from the elements.

 Awesome picture with Mack

As we were coming back down we ran in to Krista and her gang hiking up... She was jealous and surprise that we slept on top of a mountain with out telling her.
It also was the first really bonding moment with Mack and me.

All My Friends Are Dead (AMFAD)

I live in a crazy apartment with five other amazing girls. These girls being so much joy to my life. They lift me up in times of need and sadness. They bring me closer to the gospel of Jesus Christ. They make me laugh till it aches in my rib cage. The remind me to find my phone in the plastic spoons or to remember to not run into screen doors. We bond over a simple book called All My Friends Are Dead. We have Africa and other worldly things strewn across our apartment. We eat nutella and try almond butter (and other wonderful/odd things of Mackenzie).  Each of them are truly unique. There is Mackenzie from Georgia, Brenda from Washington, Jen from Idaho, Krista from Colorado Springs (Mostly from the top of Pike's Peak), and then Elise from glorious Texas. I (Kat) am also from Texas.
This is our stories from living in each other's presents.
